New Gray Cemetery was established in 1892 and was open for burials by 1900. Set on 68 acres, the lush grounds of New Gray Cemetery have had more than 12,000 interments.
New Gray is surrounded by a region rich in the history of the South. Many Civil War battles were fought in the Knoxville area.
